SystemWeaver: Important information regarding recent Microsoft Changes

As a courtesy to our customers, we would like to ensure that IT and Tool responsibles for SystemWeaver in your organization are aware of newly introduced, potential login slowness due to recent Microsoft changes.

Microsoft has made changes in their Defender for Cloud services along with a mitigation of a vulnerability in the TCP(IP-stack in Windows (CVE-2024-38045) causing performance issues in certain applications running on Windows 10/11. At this stage there is no permanent fix available, however excluding the SystemWeaver related files swexplorer.exe, swArchitect.exe, and swAdmin2.exe from real time scanning and monitoring in Microsoft’s Security Portal temporarily resolves the issue. We strongly recommend you to add these exclusions in your environment as soon as possible to address potential login slowness experienced by system users.

Connections between Windows Servers seem unaffected at this stage.

Please forward this information to your IT infrastructure team if you are experiencing unexpected slowness when logging in to your SystemWeaver server.

Best regards,
