The European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) went into effect on May 25, 2018. Organizations around the world are work to comply with the regulation which impacts not only EU companies, but anyone who handles the personal data of EU citizens.

When user accounts are created in the SystemWeaver swAdmin application, personal data in the form of a Username, Network id (optional), Name and E-mail (optional), are saved to the database just like any other data content.

As users in SystemWeaver create or modify data, their names are saved in the Last Changed By and/or Owner item/issue properties.

If an organization has a need to remove users and the personal data described above that can be traced to the individuals, the personal data will need to be replaced with anonymous values as a means of complying with GDPR since SystemWeaver user accounts cannot be deleted.
