This article describes how to open attachments to items.
Prerequisites
- You must have "Write" access rights to the item.
- The server installation is configured with a file repository.
You can open an attachment by double-clicking on the line of the attachment in the Attachments view.
You can also right-click on an attachment and select Open Attachment.
The file will then be opened by the application registered for the file type.
| Note: Certain files types cannot be opened, e.g., .exe, .bat, .ps1. These files must be downloaded. |
An alternative to directly opening the file is to download the file to a Windows folder and then opening the document in Windows.
