If an item type has more than one allowed part type per the meta model, it is possible to define the order of the different part types when displayed in the swExplorer client. This is changed in Metadata in the swArchitect client. This article describes how to modify the order.
Prerequisites
- Familiar with the SystemWeaver meta model building blocks (e.g., Items, Parts and Attributes)
- Familiar with the SystemWeaver Explorer Interface and common operations
- Assignment of the SW Architect role in the server
- An installation of the SystemWeaver Architect client (swArchitect)
In the Type structure tree, find the item type whose part types you would like to reorder. The current Part Types list will display to the right.
The order of the part types is set in the # column. It defines the order of the part types in, e.g., the Structure tree, and the New and Add menus in the tree:
The numbers can be modified directly in the list. To refresh the list display, navigate away from the page and then back. swExplorer users will need to re-open any already opened items showing the old order to obtain the new order.
