This article describes how to export the Explorer view configurations which are defined in Configure the explorer. You may want to do this if, for example, you are migrating to a new database, want to create a database copy for testing purposes that includes the view configurations from your production environment or want to share your view configurations with a supplier or customer that use the same meta model as you.
Prerequisites
- Assignment of the SW Architect role in the database
- An installation of the SystemWeaver Explorer (swExplorer)
The export is done using the swExplorer client.
- Navigate to File > Configure the explorer.
- Select the Checks tab.
- Click the Export configurations button. The option exports all view configurations to separate XML files into the selected Windows folder.
