The Text type attribute supports non-formatted strings, including support for new lines.
Users are provided with an attribute editor that will display the value.
Example:
When creating an attribute of type Text, the only requirements are a SID and a Name.
Valid Data Dimension(s): Single
Support for Default Value: Yes
Allows Empty Value: Yes
Configurable Editor: Yes, width and min. and max. height
Using a Different Font
The Text attribute type includes an optional setting called Fixed font for specifying a fixed font available for this attribute type. An example use case may be an attribute containing a code snippet. The font applies to the value shown in the attribute editor.
Example
In the below example, Code snippet uses the Fixed font option resulting in the text appearing in a different font in the editor.
Things to Consider
- It is not possible to change a Text attribute to an RVF attribute type.
